This module explores the concepts and theories of digital activism, showcasing how technology and digital media can be leveraged to drive social and political change. Participants will gain comprehensive knowledge of the impact of digital activism by examining its historical foundations, key principles, and diverse strategies. Through real-world examples and case studies, the module illuminates the transformative power of digital tools such as social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), emails, videos, and more in amplifying voices, mobilizing communities, and challenging oppressive systems.
